What is Ablative Laser?
Ablative laser skin resurfacing is a process where the upper layers of aged or damaged skin are vaporized by applying a controlled laser beam. The resulting healing and restructuring of the skin is believed to reduce the appearance of wrinkles.
It's important to distinguish between ablative laser resurfacing and non-ablative laser treatments where the skin surface remains largely intact.
Ablative laser treatments will leave your skin red and weeping; this is to allow for the underlying healthy skin to emerge and could leave you noticeably bruised for up to ten days, possibly more.
